DAVAO CITY (MindaNews/16 March) – A magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck 24 kilometers north of Don Marcelino town in Davao Occidental 7:07AM Saturday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The temblor had a depth of 97 kilometers and was tectonic in origin, Phivolcs said.
Intensity V was felt in Alabel in Sarangani, General Santos City and Koronadal City.
Intensity IV was reported in Kiamba in Sarangani, and Intensity III in Davao City and T’boli in South Cotabato.
Phivolcs said it expects no damage from the quake. (MindaNews)
