Mantil Sangkad was riding a motorcycle together with his wife, Noriha, and their 7-year old son when the gunmen aboard a car opened fire with cal.

Quoting witnesses, Senior Inspector Lindsy Sinsuat, town police chief said Noriha was hit first and fell from the motorbike.[]
Her husband appealed to the assailants to spare him, to no avail.[]
