m. Tuesday at the compound of Manuel Cisneros, a militiaman, at Zone 6, Barangay Tumahubong, Sumisip municipality, Capt. Jefferson Somera, information officer of the 1st Infantry Division, said.
Somera said the victims were attending a party when an improvised bomb exploded.
He said the victims had just arrived from a nearby church, where they attended a New Year’s Eve mass.
Somera said they are still conducting investigation as to how the improvised bomb was brought into Cisneros’ compound.[]
The Basilan Police Provincial Office identified five of the slain victims as Rey Limbin, Elbert Gomoba, Kitarul Kaddik, Leniebel Cisneros, and Lourdes Ablong.[]
