RAPTOR FESTIVAL. Sarangani Gov. Steve Chiongbian Solon and his family join bird watchers during the 2nd Raptor Festival on Wednesday (2 October 2019) at Raptor Hill in Barangay Rio del Pilar in the municipality of Glan as a flock of migratory birds of prey approaches to roost briefly at the adjacent Mt. Gulo before they leave for Indonesia. As of October 2, the Environmental Conservation and Protection Center team performing confirmatory raptor migration study reported that more than 100,000 raptors have been sighted crossing the area since the monitoring started last September 16.
