A worker, with the help of a chain saw, cuts a fallen mangium tree branch by branch to release two cars pinned down in the accident early evening Thursday (18 Dec 2014) along the national highway in Barangay Luna, Surigao City. Eleven people, mostly children, were hurt in the accident and brought to the Caraga Regional Hospital.
Construction workers had demolished a concrete waiting shed where the tree was leaning on for a road-widening project, causing it to fall.
