DAVAO CITY (MindaNews / 01 Sept) — Another Chinese research vessel docked at the Sasa Wharf here on Friday, the second since the berthing of a research/survey vessel Yuan Wang 3 in July this year.[]
Major Ezra Balagtey, public information officer of the Eastern Mindanao Command, said on Saturday that the Yuan Wang 7, made a port of call here for replenishment and is expected to leave on Sunday.[]
“Her stay in the Philippines is subject to the conditions stated through the diplomatic note issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs,” he said.[]
According website tracking site www.vesselfinder.com, the Yuan Wang 7 is a research vessel built in 2016.
A Chinese military aircraft Ilyushing Il-76 bound for New Zealand landed at the Davao International Airport on June 8 for refueling and landed again on June 23 for similar purpose before returning to China. (Antonio L. Colina IV / MindaNews)
