Tropical Depression “Urduja” is expected to make landfall in Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas by Saturday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in an advisory issued at 3:00 AM Wednesday.
Pagasa said “Urduja” was spotted 455km east of Surigao City with maximum winds of 55 km/h and gustiness of up to 65 km/h. It is forecast to move north northwest at 7 km/h.
“Urduja” will bring scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms to Mindanao, the state-run weather agency said.
Winds will be moderate to occasionally strong coming from the northeast to northwest with moderate to occasionally rough seas, it added. (MindaNews)
