DAVAO CITY (MindaNews/12 May) – Voters in a North Cotabato town named after the grandfather of administration bet Mar Roxas chose Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte as their President.
Duterte, standard-bearer of the Partido ng Demokratikong Pilipino (PDP-Laban) topped the Presidential race with 17,449 votes while administration bet Manuel Roxas of the Liberal Party got 1,763 votes in President Roxas town, named after the late President Manuel A. Roxas.

The result is based on 100% of election returns (ERs) processed, according to the partial and unofficial results posted on the Comelec-GMA Mirror Server as of 9:45 pm. on May 11.
Senator Grace Poe received 1,007 votes; Vice President Jejomar Binay 642, Santiago 97 and the late Roy Seneres, whose name was still included in the ballot, got four votes.
But in President Manuel A. Roxas in Zamboanga del Norte, a town also named after Roxas’ grandfather, Roxas is leading the Presidential race based on 92.68% of the ERs processed.
Roxas is leading with 7,959 votes against Duterte’s 4,800, Poe’s 1,132, Binay’s 882, Santiago’s 64 and Seneres’ 21
Based on partial, unofficial results nationwide, Duterte is leading the Presidential race with at least six million votes against Roxas.
Poe conceded the Presidential race to Duterte in a press conference at 12:03 a.m. on May 10 while Roxas also read his speech conceding to Duterte in a press conference in Quezon City before noon of May 10. (Carolyn O. Arguillas / MindaNews)
