MALAYBALAY CITY (MindaNews/18 July) — After Glenda that devastated large parts of Luzon, another tropical storm is brewing east of Northern Mindanao and may enter the Philippine area of responsibility on Saturday, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Friday.
Pagasa said the storm will be called Henry (international name: Matmo) once it enters PAR.
The state weather bureau said Matmo was last observed 1,000 kilometers of east of Northern Mindanao, and was packing maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 80 kph.[]
Pagasa forecast the storm to move north northwest slowly.[]
Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms, it said.[]
