MindaNews photo editor Froilan Gallardo of Cagayan de Oro and Philippine Daily Inquirer’s Aquiles Zonio of General Santos City are among the nine SEAPA Fellows this year.
The SEAPA Journalism Fellowship Programme is an annual activity of the press alliance, which began in 2002.
In his letter to the Fellows, Gayathry Venkiteswaran, SEAPA Executive Director, said the Fellowship will open with a three-day Orientation Seminar on June 19 to 23 in Jakarta, Indonesia where the Fellows will get the chance to interact with experts and other resource persons who are familiar with issues pertaining to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
The Fellows will then leave for the country of their research on June 24 where they will be staying for three weeks and return to Jakarta on July 16 for “de-briefing and editorial discussion” and for them to complete their stories until their departure for their respective countries on July 20.
