Grieve not our parting
Nor weep behind the curtain
But open that creaky window
And watch me cross the rainbow
My smile and frown shall stay
In the creases of the earth you’d see
Memories of the miles I tread
And the hope that lies ahead
And if you’d find it worth the while
Remember our vows on a lonesome isle
Cherish how you cheered me on
In those times when my soul was torn
I fought battles you thought I lost
In fields now covered with frost
Still I hold high the sword
So many rivers yet to ford
And as I trudge ahead to fight
Your voice shall be my guiding light
At end of day I’d sit by the fire
Lulled to sleep by a goddess’ lyre
