Mosquera, a former social development worker, was arrested by joint elements of the Philippine National Police and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in her house in Octavio Village, Barangay Cannery in Polomolok, South Cotabato, CIDG operative Neil Gaspar Lacia said.
Lacia said Mosguera, known as ‘Commander Ana,’ “was among those who raided the Army detachment in Barangay Batang, Tulunan last Nov 2007 where they carted away 14 assorted firearms.”
Mosguera is charged with robbery with intimidation on persons under Criminal Case Number 231-2007 and the warrant for her arrest was issued on January 23, 2008 by Judge Rogelio Naresma of the Regional Trial Court Branch 23 here.
But Mosguera denied the allegations, saying she was not the ‘Ana’ that was identified in the warrant.
“I’m just a plain housewife. I am taking care of my daughter who is sick of lupus,” said Mosquera, a former development worker in South Cotabato.
Mosguera’s case is now being handled by the human rights group Karapatan based in Koronadal City. (MindaNews)
