KIDAPAWAN CITY (MindaNews / 9 Aug) – Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in North Cotabato arrested two individuals wanted for different criminal charges in two separate operations in the province Friday.
In Kidapawan City, authorities apprehended a certain Ramie Bigasin in his hideout at Nursery Phase 2, Poblacion.
Bigasin is facing a child abuse charge under Criminal Case Number 5200-2019.
His warrant of arrest was issued early this year by Judge Jose Tabosares of the Regional Trial Court Branch 23 here.
A CIDG operative told Ronda FM Teleradyo here that Bigasin did not resist arrest when they accosted him around 830 a.m..
In Midsayap, North Cotabato, the CIDG operatives apprehended a certain Marco Diel of Purok-Tres, Barangay Sangat, past noon.
Diel is charged with malversation of public funds under Criminal Case Number 15-320 and the order for his arrest was issued by former Judge Laureano Alzate of the RTC Branch 22 in Kabacan, North Cotabato.
Diel’s arrest was conducted jointly by CIDG North Cotabato and elements of M’lang police.
The CIDG said after the suspects were placed under their custody they would immediately be turned them over to the court for proper disposition. All cases, the operatives said, are bailable. (Malu Cadelina Manar / MindaNews)
