DAVAO CITY (MindaNews / 20 Feb) – Around 200 houses, including stilt houses of Badjao families, had been destroyed after a fire broke out in Purok 4, Isla Verde, Barangay 23-C here Wednesday afternoon, an official of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) 11 said.

Gillado said witness Enrico Jimena claimed the fire emanated from the residence of a certain Eddie Tungal. But authorities have yet to determine the cause and the cost of damages.
