GENERAL SANTOS CITY (MindaNews/17 August) – Authorities busted Thursday evening here a drug den allegedly maintained by a female drug pusher who was arrested along with five others, an official from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Region 12 (PDEA-12) said on Friday.
PDEA-12 said the raid at around 10:05 pm Thursday conducted along with the local police netted Christine Madison Chua, 31; Shirley Lozada, 53; Charmain Vallinas, 32; Galvin Capilitan, 33; Jovert Mendoza, 25; and Ivan Louei Dinopol, 30.
The drug den allegedly operated by Chua is located in Barangay Dadiangas South.
Chua, a high-value suspect on the PDEA list, had previously violated Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, Cariño said.
Naravy Duquiatan, the leader of the PDEA raiding team and acting PDEA-12 regional director, said 25 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu worth P170,000 and other drug paraphernalia were seized during the operation.
Some of the customers of Chua include government employees, tricycle drivers and even security escorts of some officials and businessmen, Duquiatan said in a statement.
The suspects were detained at the PDEA-12 detention center and will be charged with violating several provisions of RA 9165. (MindaNews)
