DAVAO CITY (MindaNews / 20 January) — Friday was a sad day for reporters covering the Land Transportation Franchise and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) in the national capital.
Lawyer Aileen Lizada, LTFRB board member and spokesperson, posted a message on the LTFRB Media Concerns viber group that she set up to communicate quickly with reporters for announcements, schedules, documents and photos, to direct all questions to LTFRB chair Martin Delgra.
“Good noon po sa inyong lahat, from now on, please direct all questions po to Chairman. It has been my privilege and honor to work with all of you,” Lizada posted at 10:53 a.m.

She remains a member of the LTFRB board.
Immediately, reporters asked “what happened,” “bakit,” “why.” One wrote “sayang Ma’am very effective pa naman kayo for quick info dissemination.”
To lighten the mood, a reporter asked, “Kinansel din po ba ng SEC ang cerfiticate of registration ninyo? Joke. Pampa-ight lang nung usapan Atty. Lizada,”
Another said, “whatever the reason po Atty. salamat po sa lahat ng mga naitulong nyo po sa amin.”
“Atty. Aileen, paano na ang viber group na ito kung di na kayo magsasalita? Medyo di maganda pang amoy ko.. Pero para sa bayan, saludo ako sa inyo.”
“I am sure there is a better reason for this happening, but in any case, sincerely, thank you. May God bless you in all your endeavors,” said another.
Lizada, who had served as chief of staff of then Davao City mayor Rodrigo Duterte, always ends her thank you posts to reporters who commend her for swift response with “para sa bayan” (for the country).
She sent no reply to the group. (MindaNews)
