ZAMBOANGA CITY (MindaNews/07 June) – The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI)-Western Mindanao chapter has scheduled a roadshow Tuesday (June 10) for the 23rd Mindanao Business Conference (MINBIZCON) in this city.
Dr. Sitti Amina Jain, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) regional officer-in-charge, said the activity aims to inform and consult the stakeholders in Mindanao on the ASEAN economic integration and the anticipated establishment of the ASEAN Economic Community next year.
Jain said the roadshow carries the theme “Gearing Up for AEC 2015” and will take place in all the six regions of Mindanao as a pre-conference activity of the MINBIZCON.
She said the results of consultations during the roadshow will guide the policies, programs and strategies to be pursued by the government as well as the private sector in relation to the AEC.
The roadshow will be spearheaded by the PCCI in partnership with the Zamboanga City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation Inc., Mindanao Development Authority and the DTI.
Jain said they have invited businessmen, government officials, members of the academe, and media to the event.
