KORONADAL CITY (MindaNews/20 March)–A low pressure area spotted 270 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur at 4 a.m. on Thursday will bring light to moderate rainshowers and isolated thunderstorms in Mindanao and Eastern and Central Visayas, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 5 a.m. advisory.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated light rains, Pagasa said.[]

The eastern Mindanao seaboard straddling Surigao, Davao Oriental, Dinagat Island and Siargao will have rough to very rough sea condition, the state weather bureau said.[]

Pagasa cautioned fishing boats and other smaller seacrafts not to venture to the sea while larger sea vessels are alerted against big waves, which could be as high as 4.[]
