KIDAPAWAN CITY (MindaNews/19 August) — Suspec
ted New People’s Army rebels burned heavy equipment 2p.m. Sunday in Barangay Ladayon, Arakan, North Cotabato, the town mayor today said over radio station dxCA.

Arakan Mayor Rene Rubino said the equipment were used to build a mini-dam for an irrigation project in Ladayon of the Department of Agriculture national office.

The rebels torched a bulldozer, a grader and two hauler trucks, he added.

The mayor said the exact amount of damages have yet to be determined.
