COTABATO CITY (MindaNews/25 November) – Two persons were killed in an ambush early today in Barangay Dologon, Maramag, Bukidnon, according to a report from DXDB, a Catholic-run radio station based in Malaybalay.
DXDB reporter Jun Sapanghari said the ambush took place at 12:45 dawn.
The victims, a man and a woman, were aboard a black Honda Civic.
Witnesses said that before the incident, two other vehicles had been waiting in the area, which is near the Central Mindanao University.
Several shots rang out when the victims’ car arrived. Police recovered from the scene at least 50 spent shells of M-16.
Investigators also found the man’s driver’s license identifying him as Osmund Rey Dalugdog of Matina, Davao City, a few notebooks, cash and some documents.
