The Davao City-leg is one of the five qualifying stages with two in Metro Manila and the other two in Bacolod and Baguio City.
CD Malocoton, NCCC Mall B3 supervisor said he expects more than 200 cue artists from various places to take part in the Davao City-leg, the only qualifying leg in Mindanao.
“We have 130 players who joined last year and we expect to reach that number or surpass it until August 11,” Melocoton said.
The top four players in the Davao leg will earn slots in will the finals in Manila on Sept. 14-16. They will join the top eight players from last year led by defending champ Francisco Bustamante to complete the 32man-field finalist.
