NO BUILD ZONE. The Department of Enviroment and Natural Resources has placed billboards by the beach all over Siargao Island warning residents not to build houses and other structures within 20 meters (40 meters if the area is considered timberland) from the coastline.[]
This sign was spotted at the municipality of Burgos on Saturday (22 January 2022).[]
