The Dapa District Hospital in Siargao Island has been swamped with children the past few days because of diarrhea brought about by the shortage of supply of drinking water after super typhoon “Odette” hit the area on 16 December 2021.
Siargao residents rely heavily on refilling stations for their potable water, but many have stopped operations because of the lack of electricity.
