Former Marawi Mayor Omar Solitario speaks in Meranaw to pacify his companions and supporters just outside the Dimaporo gymnasium where he attended the rally of the Partido ng Demokratikong Pilipino on Friday, April 12, 2019.
Solitario was intercepted by the military and brought to the 103rd Infantry Brigade which was later ordered to release him. Solitario went into hiding in late May 2017 after he was listed among those to be arrested for his alleged involvement in the Marawi Siege.
He was also in President Rodrigo Duterte’s August 2016 list of personalities allegedly involved in illegal drugs.
