Holy Wednesday morning was relatively quiet at the Divine Mercy Shrine in El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental, as pilgrims were just starting to arrive. But thousands are expected to flock here on Good Friday, 30 March 2018. Behind the 50-foot statue of Jesus Christ of Divine Mercy is the Chapel of the Holy Shroud, a circular structure with a dome adorned with a crown of thorns.
