One of the two transmisstion towers of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) in the hinterland village of Sugod in Marawi City toppled by still unidentified suspects using improved explosive device Thursday night (29 Oct 2015). As a result, two hydroelectric plants, one in Marawi and the other in Saguiaran in Lanao del Sur, were isolated from the Mindanao Grid, affecting power supply in Bukidnon and Davao.
