Days of torrential rains have forced at least 347 families living in flood- and landslide-prone areas in Surigao City to flee their homes since January 12, 2014.

The evacuees are housed in 11 evacuation centers like this one at the gym of barangay Washington in this photo taken on Monday, January 13.
