DEAD WHALE. A sperm whale found dead in the waters near Sacol Island in Zamboanga City morning of Sept. 19, 2012 was buried at the “fish cemetery” of the Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology in Barangay Rio Hondo late in the afternoon of the same day.

An 18-wheeler truck had to transport the dead sea mammal, measuring 52 feet long and weighing 30 tons, from the port.
