SHATTERED DREAMS, TATTERED MEMORIES. Is this the way to honor the memory of the 58 victims of the Ampatuan Massacre? A tarpaulin of the victims, hotographs hangs in tatters at the corner of the national highway and the road leading to the massacre site in Sitio Masalay, Barangay Salman, Ampatuan town in Maguindanao. Up there, some 3.5 kilometers from the highway, the dreams of 58 persons, 32 of them from the media, were shattered by a volley of gunfire shortly before noon on November 23, 2009.
