Babu Minang Blao visits the grave of her mother, aunt, nephews and nieces in Linek, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao, who perished in the tsunami that followed a magnitude 8.2 earthquake in the Moro Gulf shortly after midnight on August 17, 1976. Babu Minang survived the “most disastrous tsunami experienced by the Philippines.” The tsunami affected 700 kilometers of coastline bordering the Moro Gulf.
