I sit here
in this black plastic chair
perched
on our little porch
and watch
the street
outside our gate
where all sorts of cars, tricycles,
trucks and motorcycles
whizz by
unaware
of my presence
and that of Victor
the chubby tabby cat
curled up
underneath the bench
unmindful
of the traffic of life on the street.
