KIDAPAWAN CITY (MindaNews/22 Sept) – A couple was shot dead by a still unidentified gunman after they brought their two children to school in Cotabato City around 6:30 a.m. today, police said.
The victims were identified as Noli and Bailyn Luminog, both residents of Poblacion-8, Cotabato City.
The couple was on board a Toyota Revo when a lone gunman shot them three times.
The suspect first shot the husband. Both died on the spot.
Police are facing a blank wall as to the motive behind the couple’s death.
In Kidapawan City, a farmer was shot dead by yet another unidentified gunman while inside his house at East Patadon around 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Police identified the victim as Monaim Dilaminan, a resident of Barangay Patadon, this city.
Reports said the victim was preparing to go to his bedroom when the suspect fired shots towards him using an M16 assault rifle.
He died on the spot.
The killing took place a day after Montawal municipal treasurer Alonto Bangcolit was shot dead while on his way to a state university in Kabacan town, some 20 minutes travel from this city. (Malu Cadeliña Manar / MindaNews)
