Manuel Hamoy, head of Transco in General Santos City, said restoration works on its felled Tower No. 40 were immediately conducted Wednesday morning.
He said they have already deployed two sets of emergency restoration system (ERS), allowing the Southern Philippines Power Corporation (SPPC) to reconnect with the main power grid.
SPPC supplies 50 megawatts of electricity to Transco through the latter's 138-kilovolt Upper Klinan transmission line.
Hamoy said they expect power supply to the affected lines to be fully restored by Wednesday afternoon.
Transco has yet to determine the amount of damage of the explosion.
No one has claimed responsibility over the explosion although sources said Transco has been receiving threats of sabotage from unidentified armed group throughout Mindanao.
Police are still conducting further investigation and gathering evidences in the blast site. (Edwin G. Espejo / MindaNews contributor)
