City Police Director Chief Insp. Leo Ajero said they conducted the crackdown along Quezon Boulevard where snatching and robbery are rampant.
The drivers of the motorcycles were held for interrogation at the Kidapawan City PNP investigation division.
Ajero said the drivers failed to show documents of their vehicles.
This month, nine persons complained of having been robbed along Quezon Boulevard, Quirino Drive and in Saniel Subd ivision road.
The latest victim was identified as Mellodesa Villanueva, a nurse at the Kidapawan Doctors Hospital.
Villanueva was walking along Saniel Subdivision road when held up by the suspects using a caliber 45 pistol.
The robbers took the bag of the nurse that contained her personal valuables including Nokia cellphone, cash and jewelry.
The suspects used a motorcycle as their getaway vehicle.
Eight members of Special Action Forces and 22 members of the Cotabato Rapid Response Group were deployed in Kidapawan City to ensure safety of the constituents especially during nigh time. (MindaNews)
