Fr. Jonathan Domingo, district superior of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate (OMI) which runs Mindanao Cross, had earlier asked media colleagues in Mindanao to help pray for Hagad who suffered a stroke and was rushed to the hospital on January 27.

Domingo said that before joining Mindanao Cross, Hagad was a teacher, research director and Vice President for Finance of the OMI-run Notre Dame University.
