DAVAO CITY (MindaNews/6 November) – Measures will be implemented to absorb employees of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao into the future Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao while those who cannot be accommodated will receive separation and retirement incentives based on the number of years in service, Bangsamoro Transition Commission member Datu Mussolini Sinsuat Lidasan said.
“Ang mga empleyado nga ARMM na sector ng health, education, serbisyong panglipunan ay mapabilang at malilipat sa Bangsamoro government,” Lidasan said during the Bangsamoro visioning workshop for Muslims in the Davao Region held on Nov. 2-4 at the Royal Mandaya Hotel.
On July 27 this year, President Rodrigo Duterte signed Republic Act No. 11054, or the Organic Law for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, a plebiscite for which will take place early next year.
Securing the employment of ARMM employees is one of the major tasks of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority.
“Kung isa kang teacher, isa kang principal, isa kang social worker, isa kang municipal health officer wala kang ikabahala kay absorbed ka sa BARMM,” Lidasan added.
New employees of BARMM will undergo a qualification process by the Civil Service Commission and BTA.
Employees who will not be absorbed will receive separation and retirement incentives according to the number of years in service.
Those who have served for 1-5 years will receive 100% of monthly basic salary for every year in service.
“So kung ang sahod niya is 10,000 every month, nagserve sya ng 5 years, 50,000 ang separation nya,” Lidasan said.
Those who have worked for 5-10 years will receive 150% of their basic monthly salary for each year of service.
Employees who have served 10 years or more will receive an equivalent of two months basic salary for each year of service. (Regina Mae Ronquillo/for MindaNews)
