Police nabs man pretending to be soldier

The armed man identified himself as Army 2Lt. Daniel Cozo of the 40th Infantry Battalion assigned in Pikit, North Cotabato.

The man, later identified as Marino Acquiatan, was also using Cozo’s uniform and name plate.

At the police station, Acquiatan said he was a military intelligence agent and that his “handler” was Cozo.

The Kidapawan City police is filing charges of illegal possession of firearms and violation of the election gun ban against Acquiatan.

Cozo could not be reached for comment. (MindaNews)
