Muslim pride: first-timers, topnotch leaders

MARAWI CITY (MindaNews/22 December) — Teng, Adel, Shah. Young, Muslim, professional, leader. All three are making waves in their fields of endeavors, without much fanfare.

Davao-based filmmaker Gutierrez "Teng" Mangansakan is a Maguindanaon. The lone Muslim documentary maker in mainstream, Teng is a recognized heritage defender by the Philippine Yearbook. He recently published a book of compilation of essays by young Moro writers as editor of "Children of the Ever-Changing Moon," released by multi-awarded ANVIL.
