KIDAPAWAN CITY (MindaNews / 30 May) – The son of a newly-elected barangay chair was killed while his father and two of his council members were wounded in an ambush by still unidentified gunmen along the national highway in Pikit, North Cotabato on Monday noon, the police in Pikit said.
A police report identified the fatality as Ranulfo Bobong Lisundra Bautista, son of Barangay Takepan chair Santos Bautista.
The younger Bautista was hit in the head and died on the spot. His father and barangay councilors Roberto Midsapak and Robin Salvador sustained gunshot wounds.
