COTABATO CITY (MindaNews/06 June) – A soldier was killed and three others were wounded when an improvised explosive device hit a military truck in Barangay Maitumaig, Datu Unsay Ampatuan town in Maguindanao, Thursday noon.
Maguindanao police the incident occurred as soldiers belonging to the 45th Infantry Battalion were on the way back to their headquarters after escorting a group of Teduray evacuees to Mount Feles in Datu Unsay Ampatuan.
Police were still investigating who were behind the blast while explosive experts from the 6th Infantry Division were trying to identify the IED used. (Ferdinandh B. Cabrera/MindaNews)
