DAVAO CITY (MindaNews / 29 January)—Dabawenyos trooped to the streets on Sunday (28 January 2024) for a candlelight prayer rally to support the Duterte family in its row with its former ally, the camp of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., who had his own “Bagong Pilipinas” rally in Manila at the same time.

The Dutertes are accusing the Marcoses of leading the move for a “People’s Initiative” for a constitutional change to perpetuate themselves in power.
