QUEZON CITY (MindaNews/29 April) — Supplicants are those who humbly ask help from somebody or from some being or entity that has power over something. They ask  help because they are not capable of getting what they want on their own. They resort to supplication out of need or lack of will power to exercise their capability. In this regard, supplication can be positively interpreted as showing a person’s true self by revealing his helplessness that makes him void of any egoism or selfish claim. On the contrary, supplication can be negative when it is resorted to simply out of bad habit by not believing in oneself and by habitually asking others to solve one’s problem.

Tampakan project could be single largest investment for Mindanao

MAKATI CITY  (MindaNews/29 April) — – Construction of the Tampakan project in South Cotabato may yet be the single largest investment ever for Mindanao, Richard Laufmann, Indophil Resources NL chief executive officer, said.

Last week, Sagittarius Mines, Inc. (SMI) announced the construction of the Tampakan project would cost $5.2 billion, including provision for associated infrastructure like power plant and ports.

Boy killed, 3 others hurt in blasts

KIDAPAWAN CITY (MindaNews/28 April) – A boy was killed and three others were wounded in two separate explosions that rocked Maguindanao and North Cotabato provinces Monday. 

The first explosion took place around 3 p.m. killing Jason Samad, 10, of Barangay Bagong Upam in Shariff Aguak, Maguindanao.  His father Kamid was seriously injured, reports from the Maguindanao police said.
