THE Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has ordered the temporary reduction of business name registration (BNR) fee by 50 percent effective January 12 of this year.
The temporary cutback will be implemented for six months.

How do I explain the lull of almost four years? Partly the lull was because I was a member of the GRP (Government of the Republic of the Philippines) Peace Negotiating Panel in talks with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front and the protocol of confidentiality ruled my official life and, admittedly, also my private thoughts. Being at the same time a Fellow of the International Ford Programme, I was also a full time doctoral student of Philippine Studies in the University of the Philippines, Diliman Campus, and busy researching for and writing class reports and term papers. These two tasks complemented beautifully.
