Tripartite meeting opens

JEDDAH, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (MindaNews/10 November) —  Eleven years after they signed the 1996 “Final Peace Agreement,”  the Government of the Republic of the Philippines (GRP), the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF)  and the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) gathered at the Crowne Plaza Hotel’s Crystal Ballroom here this afternoon for the inaugural session of the three-day Tripartite Meeting that would review the implementation of the controversial peace pact.

Nur warns GRP against signing peace pact with MILF

JEDDAH, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia  (MindaNews/10 November) – Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) chair Nur Misuari has warned the Philippine government against signing a peace agreement with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), citing claims by an American diplomat that a peace pact with the MILF “will be illegal.”
