National players Richard Gonzales and Harold Baring, both 23rd Southeast Asian Games medallists head the cast of national team members who will vie for honors and cash prizes amounting to P55, 000.
Former junior champion Michael Dalumpines of Davao City wills also see-action representing a Manila team. The two-day event has also attracted teams from Cebu, Bacolod and Zamboanga.
The event will also feature competition in the 13-year-old and under singles and 13-under mixed singles events where Palarong Pambansa gold medallist Gil Ablanque is expected to stamp his class.
The team champion will take home P20,000 while the second and third placers will get P15, 000 and P10, 000 respectively.
The champion in the 13 years old under singles will get P5, 000 while the winner in the second and third placers will take P3, 000 and P2, 000 respectively.
