Iligan City opens its Diyandi Festival Sept. 20, 2013 with the Kasadya Street Dancing Contest and the “Pagpakanug” rites at the St. Michael’s Cathedral, wherein the statue of the city’s patron saint is lowered from the pedestal to make it closer to the people.
