President Rodrigo Duterte leads groundbreaking rites on Wednesday (28 November 2018) for the construction of the Panguil Bay Bridge connecting Tubod, Lanao del Norte and Tangub City, Misamis Occidental. Once completed, this will be the country’s longest bridge at 3.48 kilometers, much longer than the 2.
2-kilometer San Juanico Bridge connecting Leyte and Samar. Commuters crossing Panguil Bay have been served by roll on/roll off ferries for decades.
The P4.9-billion bridge will be funded with a loan from the Export-Import Bank of Korea.
