Displaced Meranaws of Marawi City call for “genuine participation” of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Marawi’s rehabilitation during the “M’balingan Tano sa Ground Zero” rally on Friday, March 30, 2018 in the country’s lone Islamic city.
The rally started at Kilometer Zero and participants hoped they could enter Ground Zero for the Friday congregational prayers at the Grand Mosque and to perform rites for relatives who died in the five-month siege but no permit was granted to rally organizers.
Ground Zero residents will be allowed to visit their homes on April 1 to May 10, at three days per sector.
