Mamanwa evacuees packed like sardines have been seeking shelter at Sitio Banban, Barangay Camam-onan, Gigaquit town in Surigao del Norte since November 13 when they heard firefights between the military and communist rebels. They claimed they left behind their farms and animals in Sitio Kalatingga, three hours’ walk away, for their safety.
