Members of the Tausug tribe prepare a maligay used during reenactment of a pagtammat, the celebration marking the culmination of the study of the Holy Qur’an, in one of the cultural villages inside the ARMM Compound in Cotabato City Thursday (27 Nov 2014). Maligay is the Tausug’s traditional food presentation used in special occasions like weddings and pagtammat.
The mock villages, which showcase ARMM’s five component provinces, are among the attractions that have been set up during the mont-long celebration to mark the 25th anniversary of the region.
